Please be aware that once you have submitted your initial payment you are agreeing to uphold the design terms below in their entirety.
The method of payment accepted by Red Jay Studios is Paypal, Money Order or Cashiers Check. Please note that if paying with Money Orders or Cashiers Checks, the design process will not begin until the first installment has cleared, and all final files will not be distributed until the last installment has cleared as well.
DEPOSITS & WAITING LISTS
A 50% deposit is required to add your name to the waiting list. The remaining 50% payment and any additional charges acquired during the designs process are due at least two (2) days before the estimated launch date of your site. If you do not wish to go to the bottom of the waiting list, there is a RUSH fee of 25% of the total cost of your design, due in full at the time your deposit is made or upon the decision to RUSH your order.
Some web designers retain the rights to the sites they build and may even charge you a fee to take “your” site and move it to another host.
When you purchase our services, we create the web site for you! At the end of the transaction you are the owner of the site. You can move it wherever you would like, copy it, make changes to it – anything you would like. It is yours. However, our one stipulation that will always remain true is that credit must be given where credit is due. At the minimum a link at the bottom of the site with design credits is required. We do however reserve the right at anytime to ask that my credits be removed if the design gets hacked up in a way that I’m uncomfortable with and is no longer a true reflection of my aesthetic.
KILL/CANCELLATION POLICY FEE
Please be aware that upon purchasing this package/design you are agreeing to the Terms of Design as stated on this website. Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the posted “start by” date will be charged a fee of 50% of the deposit. Cancellations made within 30 days or less of the posted “start by” date will lose their deposit in full. If you cancel after your start by date you will also lose your entire deposit. This policy is firm.
If a project is canceled for reasons beyond the control of the graphic artist, the project is considered “killed.” Typical charges for services rendered can be 50 to 75 percent if the work is killed during the initial sketch stage, 100 percent if killed after the completion of the sketch stage or after the final design is completed. ‘REJECTION’ is used when an assignment is canceled due to client dissatisfaction. Common cancellation fees are half of the total fee if canceled before completion of final art, and 75 to 100 percent after the final artwork is completed. Determining whether a job is killed or rejected may become a matter of common sense and negotiation. Any future use is subject to renegotiation.
Due to the unique creation and graphical nature of our products, NO REFUNDS are available for any reason. Please see our Cancellation Policy for information on cancelling your design.
When your start date comes and communication begins please check your email often during the duration of the design process. This process often requires many quick back and forth emails and the quicker we can communicate the quicker we can get your new design finished and installed. It is also a courtesy to us, as a designer, since we carefully plan our schedule to meet the needs of current and future clients.
PHOTOGRAPHY & OUTSIDE GRAPHICS
Obtaining copyrights and permission for any photos or design elements provided by the client are the responsibility of the client. Red Jay Studios is in no way liable or responsible for those graphics or photos. Please do not provide items to Red Jay Studios to use that you have not obtained proper permission to use.
There are many different browsers out there and each has several versions as well. Red Jay Studios suggests that you update your browser to the most current version offered. Red Jay Studios designs to meet the standards that comply with the latest browser versions and is not responsible for inconsistencies that may appear when older browser versions are used.
Upon installation a Red Jay Studios credit will be placed, in the footer, at the bottom of all pages. These terms require that you may not remove or alter it in anyway. We do however reserve the right at anytime to ask that my credits be removed if the design gets hacked up in a way that I’m uncomfortable with and is no longer a true reflection of my aesthetic.
Red Jay Studios: Designs does not guarantee the success or sales of websites or blogs. Clients are responsible for sale of products and/or services and Red Jay Studios can not be held liable or responsible for the success of any given site or blog.
Red Jay Studios reserves the right not to participate in the designing of a wesbsite or blog that is deemed to be vulgar, profane or offensive.
Excessive revisions are subject to an additional fee of $50.99 per hour. Red Jay Studios will notify you if you have reached the exessive point. Once you have approved the design and the design in installed it is considered to be COMPLETE. Any graphic revisions after install will be subject to our hourly rate.
Please be advised that installing items like music players, slideshows, mr linky, and any widgets other than wordpress widgets is NOT within the design scope that you are hiring Red Jay Studios for (unless otherwise indicated in the design package). Red Jay Studios is not responsible for the installation of these items.
You must have your design style form filled out no later than your assigned start by date. If you have not filled out your form prior to your start by date there will be an additional fee of $50 to continue with your project. The reason being is that this will put Red Jay Studios behind schedule.
